• LIES/  INCITING HATE:
• Shawna lost control of her car when she swerved to avoid two slower moving trucks.  She claimed Mexican truckers purposefully ran her off the road.  Troppers determined it to be Shawna's fault.
• her story puts a stall on the attempts to fire her.
• December 2006
• FRAUD:  Shawna sends out emails to various Minutemen asking them for donations.  The checks are supposed to be made out to her and the money is to be given to her.   According to Shawna,  she was collecting for a Minutemen who was ill and needed help but was too embarrassed to admit it so she couldn't share his name.
• when the head of the organization asked for the Minuteman's name,  Shawna refused.  Washburn started working on getting rid of her again.
• FRAUD:  
• Forde went over the head of the Washington state leader, Washburn,  while pretending to hold an office in the organization she no longer had.   She wrote a letter to the president of governing agency above the Washington state branch of the Minutemen.  In the letter to president Chris Simcox,  Shawna fraudulently identified herself as media director for The Washington Detachment and alleged there was a lack of leadership in Washington state.  He agreed to look into her complaints.

• Forde wrote Simcox again and proposed her plan that involved the creation of two outfits:
1. A "border-watch" headed by the current leadership to watch the borders
2. An "Internal watch"  headed by her as leader with the purpose to harass undocumented workers and those who employ them within the US.
• In the letter,  Forde told Simcox that the current leaders of Washington are in disagreement with her more hands on approach.  She informed him of the threats to kick her out of the organization.
• "They do not like the fact that I’m trying to organize and get thing’s done they see it as a pain in their necks and would like it to be quiet and everyone just go to the border once a month and keep it simple. They always talk about doing things but it never transpires.”
• Simcox agreed with Shawna's plan without discussing it with leadership in Washington.  He sens out a mass email introducing the plan and appointing Forde to a leadership role.  It was not met well.
• the entire leadership of the state chapter threatened to resign, along with a large number of members
• MDCD attempted to come to a compromise with the Washington area.   Eventually,  Forde agreed to step down.
• She had been considering starting her own group where she could employ her more extreme measures w/o seeking permission.
• "They are afraid of me because I am willing to do things others are not."
• January 2007
• THEFT:  Forde is arrested for shoplifting chocolate milk from the store
• February 3, 2007
• It is finally decided to go through with firing Shawna from the Minutemen organization.  A leader from MDCD, Carmen Mercer,  flew in to Washington to handle the situation.  Before she can be fired,  Shawna attended a dinner meeting with Washburn and others.   During the dinner,  Shawna accused a member of diverting funds for his personal needs.  Washburn laid into her because he had the same issue with Shawna.  She stormed out of the meeting.
• Carmen fired Shawna the next day.
• Despite the firing,  Chris Simcox tried to keep Shawna within the organization.  He wanted her to perform "behind the scenes."  She refused and informed him she is staring MAD.
• Shawna did not have the money to get the group going fast

• March 20, 2007
• Forde's 17 year old son was arrested for assaulting the co-owner of the beauty salon Shawna is part owner of.
• Devon eventually claimed he did it because Shawna told him the man stole money from her.

• Forde formed a friendship with Simcox's rival,  Jim Gilchrist, leader of the Minutemen Project.
• June 2007
• Forde along with a man named Doug Parris organized a “Illegal Immigration Summit” in Everett featuring herself and Gilchrist. 
• Shawna walked out when she was denied full control.
• June 30th,  2007
• Shawna showed up for the event, wanted to take over and make changes at the last minute.  Despite being denied, she tried to bully her way and started directing others to make the changes.  She was quickly reigned in. 
• THEFT:  Shawna stole a sum of money from the ticket sales for the event.  Parris decided to not press charges.
• June 2007
• Forde ran for a seat in city council using an anti-immigration platform.
• August 2007
• Forde's court date for her January shoplifting charge.   She pleaded no contest.
• The charge is made known and harmed her campaign
• Forde convinced a benefactor to give her 1000's of dollars to produce a documentary regarding border issues.   
• She returned  to  Arizona for border duties and work on the documentary
• Bob Dameron is hired as her cameraman
• She left him in a tent for five weeks, with very little contact, no vehicle, and little food.
• Meanwhile,  Shawna obtained better accommodation for herself.
• She gained use of a guest RV on one of the Minutemen leader's ranch (Glenn Spencer) by telling him she would bring media attention to his border activism.
• Neither the documentary nor the media promises occur
• ALDULTERER/ POSSIBLE PROSTITUTION:  Shawna had multiple sexual interactions with multiple people during her stay in Glenn's RV
• The news got back to Glenn and he was not happy.
• Summer/ fall 2007
• John Forde gave Shawna an ultimatum
• Find a job, stay in town, let go of the Minutemen cause and contribute to the marriage or divorce and do as she wanted.

• Forde reduced her involvment in the Minutemen movement.
• Shawna was working at the hair salon in Sears
• THEFT:  Shawna was bringing home lots of merchandise from Sears.  John was suspicious but she claimed it was all legitimate.  Then she got caught, loaded all the items up in her car, and asked John to drive her back to the store to return them.  According to Shawna, she had purchased it on her friend's employee discount and didn't want her to get in trouble so she arranged with security to bring it back.

• The split between Gilchrist and Simcox became  a feud 
• February 9th, 2008
• Gilchrist added Forde to his website as The Minutemen Project's border patrol coordinator
• Shawna jumped back into the Minutemen movement full force.
• February 26, 2008
• Forde arranged for Gilchrist to make an appearance at Central Washington University (CWU)
• Forde picked up Gilchrist for the appearance. The driver was Mike Carlucci.  He alleged to have overhead a conversation between Forde and Gilchrist that involved:
• Gilchrist provoking the students at CWU into physically attacking him so a lawsuit could ensue
• Other ways to make money,  including robbing drug dealers.
• Gilchrist was enthusiastic about the idea.
• April 2008
• Gilchrist filed suits against various Minutemen members for defamation (suits were lost)
• Gilchrist asked Shawna to help out with a border watch in Ca.
• Simcox's group,  MDCD hosted a week-long border watch in Arizona to kick-off a strategy of having shorter but more frequent watches.
• June 2008
• MDCD holds another border watch
• Forde shows up with a group of others.  She represents herself as being a representative of Gilchrist's group,  MMP.  They are asked to leave d/t the extreme measures they were promoting.
• August 2008
• FRAUD: Shawna presents herself as a member of MDCD at a border watch in California.  She was wearing a MDCD badge that would have meant she was fully vetted and could be trusted.  The badge was not hers.
• August 2008
• Forde took her daughter Jaszmine to Arizona and took up residence in Glenn Spencer's RV again.   However, he did not approve because of what occurred during her last stay.  He kicked her out but Shawna asked if her daughter could stay.  He sent them both packing and gave orders to keep Shawna away.   She did not have any money to obtain a place to stay so she was forced to take Jaszmin back to Everette.
• August - September 2008
• Despite not having adequate income, Shawna took out a line of credit with her ex employer's credit union,  Boeing Employees Credit Union.   She used it to purchase a $30,000 orange Honda Element.  She never made a payment on the car.
• October 2008
• Shawna decided to go back to Arizona.  Prior to leaving,  John informed her he was filing for divorce.
• Shawna was included in the filming of two documentaries:  Sebastian Weileman from Belgian and a Norwegian group.   
• Chuck Stonex joined MAD.
• Fall 2008
• FRAUD:  While with photojournalist Andrew Ong,  she tricked members of her team into thinking they were being shot at.  The next day, she instructed them to report the shooting to the Border Patrol but never tells them the shooting was not real.
• November 3, 2008
• DRUG USE: Shawna met Albert Gaxiola.  She sent an email to Gilchrist about the encounter.  She admited to using cocaine with the man but claimed it was to build his trust
• Shawna had drug abuse history, including the theft of pain meds from a friend.
•  November 2008
• Shawna did not have the money to stay in Arizona;  she has to return to Everette.
• Shawna was dating Thomas Gibler
• had 14 felonies.
• considered a high-risk violent offender and was on the State's watch list.
• John Forde learned Shawna had been living off of credit and was in an extreme amount of debt.    He found out she had failed to make one payment on the line of credit she borrowed for the car and had credit cards in arrears to the 10's of thousands.  John obtained a high-interest loan and put all of Shawna's debt into one lump payment while bringing her bills out of arrears.  By December, she was caught up and only had the loan to pay off.
• John had been giving Shawna small amounts of money while the divorce terms were being decided;  she continued to ask for more.
• A legal company called Peaceful Separations was handling the divorce.  Shawna asked them one day what would happen if John suddenly died.   He was worth 1/2 million dollars at the time.
• John kept giving money to Shawna to keep her happy and agreeable to the divorce.
• he attempted to change the locks to his home and even though she was not staying there, she became upset and demanded a key.  John complied.
• December 22, 2008 
•  CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER
• Shawna called John under the guise that she needed to know if he is going to be home so she can get some items
• John found the call suspicious because she had a key and it was the first time she had asked him that.  He believed she planned on damaging his car.
• Later, a stranger enters his home, shot John 5 times and left him for dead.
• John called 911 and indicated to the operator he thought Shawna sent someone to kill him.  John is initially in a coma but when he came to,  he helpeds to create a sketch of his shooter.  It looked like Thomas Gibler.
• December 23, 2008
• Shawna moved her boyfriend Thomas Gibler into John's home  while John lay in the coma.
• December - Early 2009
• THEFT/ FRAUD:  She started racking up 1000's of dollars on John's credit and debit cards.
• FORGERY: She forged John's name on a $3,000 check to his credit union.
• John learned Shawna had previously forged his name on a $9,000 loan.
• John is either in the hospital or recovering in an unknown location while this is occurring.
• December 29 
• FILING A FALSE REPORT: 
•  Forde called 911 and reported a rape.   When police arrive, she is 1/2 naked, hugging her knees, and sobbing that she was raped.  A large number 13 is scribbled on the floor.   It was the gang sign for MS-13, a Latino gang with ties to the Mexican cartel.
• When police try to interview her, she acted as if she could not respond, rolling her eyes and slurring her words.  Police thought she was on drugs until she suddenly became alert at the thought of her purse being left behind and demanded the EMS stopped and grab it before wheeling her out of the home.
• Forde's injuries were superficial. The knife wounds were shallow and included hesitation marks. Some looked a day old. 
• December 30
• Forde had not yet given a police statement. Instead, she contacted the local paper and requested they do a story on her rape and the alleged link to the Mexican cartel.   
• Police asked the media to hold off;  the message was relayed to Forde.
• Early January
• Forde postted the story on her website of her alleged rape.  She wrote that she was attacked and raped by members of MS-13 as revenge for her border activism.  She added pictures and a portion of her medical report.
• she had not spoke with police, missed appointments for a statement, and avoided their phone calls.
• Minutemen organizations were skeptic of Shawna's claim because it did not make sense.
• 1/5/2009 - 1/13/2009
• Americans for Legal Immigration Pac (AIPAC)  released an advisory notice
• concerned Shawna's claims were false and could discredit the movement.
• Noted the inconsistencies with her claim
• Jeff Schwilk of the San Diego Minutemen, publicly denounced Forde and warned people in the movement to stay away from her.
• Gilchrist continued to defend Forde

• Forde met with a police artist to form a sketch of the men she claimed attacked her.
• She had yet to provide a statement to police..

• Forde met with the police to provide a statement regarding her attack.
• Forde changed her story from what she posted on line: 
•  she claimed her attackers were friends of her son's.
• The MS-13 sign was fake and done to scare her
• her public post claiming it was MS-13 was just a "mistake."
• she acknowledge what the other Minutemen had been saying - if MS-13 was involved, her injuries would have been more serious or even fatal.

• FILING A FALSE REPORT
• Shawna tells police that she had been shot. But, as with her rape, details cause suspicion.
• Shawna called her biological mother, told her she was being chased and had to duck into an alleyway to escape. Then she abruptly hung up the phone.
• THEN Shawna called her friend Kathy and engaged in a normal conversation except she was intent on telling her of her location.  Shawna's tone changed and she claimed someone was following her.  She said she had to duck into the alley to escape.  Kathy heard "Oh God, Oh no" and the phone went dead.  She first called 911, gave Shawna's location, and then called Shawna back.  Shawna informed Kathy that she had been shot.
• Shawna did not try to call 911 between her mother's call and Kathy's.
• In both calls, she gave the impression the events were happening as she spoke.
• January 23, 2009
• Forde's rape case is officially closed due to a lack of evidence to support it.
• The rape kit came back negative.
• Shawna's injuries looked self-inflicted.
• She avoided giving a statement.
• her story changed after the inconsistencies were pointed out.
• downstairs neighbors were home at the time and did not hear anything.
• the home was largely left undisturbed despite the alleged physical attack.
• The only blood found was a small amount in the shower.

• STATE MEDICAL FRAUD ATTEMPT
• One of the last entries in her rape case indicated Forde had tried to seek financial assistance related to the alleged rape attack.  It was denied after her medical reports were reviewed.
• Forde was deeply in debt, not willing to maintain a job, was soon to be homeless, and her husband was taking his income away from her in the divorce.
• 2008 - 2009
• THEFT/DRUGS: Kathy Dameron noted her prescription pain medication would come up missing after Forde's visited
• March 2009
• THEFT/DRUGS:   Kathy discovered her prescription pain medication in Forde's purse during a visit.  Forde admitted to taking it.  Kathy ended the friendship.
• Spring 2009
• Forde returned to Arizona and holds meetings to plan raids on drug houses.
• Early May 2009
• Two FBI informants attended a recruitment meeting hosted by Forde.  She informed them she was looking to raid drug dealer's homes in the Arivaca area.  
• The Informants alert the FBI
• May 29th,  2009
• Forde had a clash with another Minutemen leader,  Joe Adams
• He told her to leave him alone because he had heard the feds were looking into her activities
• May 29th,  
• Forde, Oakstar, and Bush drive by the Flores' home to stake it out.  The teal minivan catches Gina's eye.
• May 30th,  2009 12 am - 1am
• MURDERER: Forde knocked on the Flores' door pretending to be border patrol  in search of a fugitive.  Her real intent is to steal money, drugs, and guns she believed to be in the home. 
• Forde has two accomplices with her,  Albert Gaxiola and Jason Bush.  Bush executed Raul Flores and Brisenia Flores but only wounded Gina Gonzales before they all ran out.
• Forde returned to the home,  found Gina alive, and ordered Bush to kill her.  He failed on his second attempt as well and flees after being shot.
• May 30th
• AM:  Forde calls Oakstar to obtain painkillers and antibiotics for Bush's wound.  Oakstar is arrested on his way back from dropping off the medication.
• AM:  Forde calls Stonex and requests he bring a medical kit to treat Bush's wound.
• PM:  Forde is driving the teal minivan and meets Stonex at the Arivaca Mercantile.   She leads him back to Gaxiola's home were Bush is waiting.
• May 31st, 2009
• Forde and Bush leave Gaxiola's home.
• OPPORTUNIST: Forde posted the Flores' murders on her MAD site.  She claimed they were the result of a "territory dispute"  and used it to promote the need for MAD to protect the border. 
• Albert Gaxiola's home is searched and links to Forde are discovered.   
• June 1st
• Police are searching for Forde and contacting known associates.   Word gets back to Forde, she denies involvement, and claims police were using it as a reason just to gather up Minutemen.
• Week of June 1, 2009
• Minutemen Gates contacted Gilchrist regarding law enforcement search for  Forde
• Gilchrist contacted Forde who claimed Gates was a disgruntled ex-MAD member seeking revenge.
• June 6-9
• Forde and Bush traveled 1000 miles to the Redding area.
• They robbed two homes and escaped with 1000's of dollars.
• June 11
• Bush returned to his girlfriend's home and is called down to the police department.
• After being lead to believe Forde was in custody,  Bush confessed to the crime and implicated Shawna.  He provided details that only someone involved would have known.
• June 12, morning
• Forde emailed Gilchrist about how to include MAD in their referral system
• "The border is going to be HOT. Good things to come my brother.”
• June 12
• Forde is arrested;  the victim's jewelry is found in her purse.
• After Forde's arrest
• Gilchrist claimed he was dubbed by Forde.  He believed that despite her past,  she had "found Jesus" and really wanted to do good.

• LACK OF REMORSE:
• After her conviction,  Forde said, " I know in her mind, I am guilty and she hates me. I know her tragedy is extremely sad......people shouldn’t deal drugs if they have kids.........I wish I could say I was sorry it happened,I am not sorry on my behalf because I didn’t do it.”
